Wardrobe Rebuild 005 | Everyday jewelry
Finally checking a few things off my list :)
It’s been a while since I shared a Wardrobe Rebuild update, mainly because I haven’t really added anything to my closet clothing wise. But! I did get a few pieces of everyday jewelry during the holiday sales, items I’ve casually been on the hunt for for a while. Namely: a gold chain and pearl studs.
I’ve always been more of a pendant girl, but I’ve been meaning to try a chain necklace. I was hoping to find something simple that I can wear all the time and potentially serve as a base for layering (which I don’t really do but have always admired on others). I went to check out all the brands I’ve heard about from Youtubers: Mejuri, Idyl, Monica Vinader, and Missoma. (Influencers work!)
I was close to getting this beaded one from Monica Vinader but ultimately went with this gold vermeil square snake chain from Missoma. I thought the MV one was a little too dainty for me and I liked the square shape on the Missoma. It felt more modern than the flatter, rounded profile of traditional snake chains. I love it! The quality has been great so far and it was just what I was looking for.
Re: pearl studs. It’s definitely not hard to find some but that’s just the thing. The fact that there are well-rated options from under $10 on Etsy to $1,000+ from brands like Mikimoto gave me massive decision fatigue without even going deep down the rabbit hole. So I was just punting this purchase…
Until I flipped through the Strategist’s annual holiday gift guide last November and saw a pair of silver studs that looked appealing. They were the Pebble studs from new-to-me brand Kara Yoo1. I took a look around the site and found these Keshi pearl studs, which are irregularly shaped freshwater pearls that come in 5mm, 7mm, and 9mm. I went for the Goldilocks pick, 7mm. The price is also pretty Goldilocks at $46. Like the square snake chain, the organic, not totally spherical shape of these pearls also felt like a nice modern twist fit for my mostly casual, relaxed style.
All in all, I’m pleased to finally tick these two things off my watchlist, and I feel at peace in the jewelry department. (Well, my wedding rings still don’t fit post-pregnancy… but I’m hopeful it will happen this year 🤞.) The one other jewelry thing low-key on my mind is something interesting with onyx. Like this ring I also spotted on Missoma. Maybe next Black Friday!

This brand sends the funnest (most transparent, chill, interesting) behind-the-scenes emails. I honestly have enjoyed every email I've gotten from them since making my purchase, which is quite a feat for e-comm.
Love both! Great classic forever pieces
