Welcome to Ode, a newsletter about shopping with intention and building a fulfilling wardrobe.

Hi! I’m Jenny, a writer and designer in the NYC area. I started Ode to share my experiences and learnings in slow consumption as well as honest product recommendations without the noise of ads/sponsorships rampant on social media.

I’m petite in size, skew minimal (but still fun) in taste, and value well-designed, high-quality products that I can love for a long time. On Ode, I’ll be sharing:

  • Tips and motivation to buy less, buy better — especially clothes

  • Styling ideas based on a lean, versatile wardrobe

  • Candid thoughts on lifestyle brands/products, focusing on the truly good stuff

For a taste of what I do here, check out some of my favorite posts so far:

An ode to fancy packaging
The difference between “photo-op” and “photo-ready” dressing and why it matters for slow style

Ode is something I want to be working on for the long haul. If you’d like to support this project in a bigger way, consider becoming a paid subscriber and stay tuned for more!

Hope to see you around 😊
